1907 Foundation, Inc.
Mission: Restore and preserve the historically and architecturally significant structure at 3637 Locust Walk and other historic structures located within or adjacent to the University of Pennsylvania Historic District, educating the general public about the history and architecture of such buildings, supporting the educational, cultural and other charitable activities of the St. Anthony Hall chapter at the University of Pennsylvania and making grants to other 501(c)(3) organizations.
Through early Fall, 2007, almost 40% of our alumni and undergraduate active brothers have made donations or pledged over $1,830,000 towards our $2,000,000 goal set four years ago. Construction costs exceeded our initial estimate of $1,400,000 by better than 25 percent, so at the completion of the campaign, our endowment will be less than we hoped. However, we celebrate that we have less than 10 percent to go, perhaps making the objective by year's end. We still await our final electrical hook-up with the Univeresity that will allow us to run our building-wide air conditioning service.
